MEANWHILE

While some people enjoyed the sun, salty water and exposed buns, others slaved away in the backgrounds of society, trying to finish assignments. The battle never ends.
Right now, I'm focusing on the ''weirdest'' assignment. I have to create an 'architecturial garment'. The purpose is to familiarize myself with the way the 'design process' works. I have to start with a concept, decide on a material to work with and a technique to use on the material. No glue allowed. Materials are limited to foam, wire mesh, paper and chopsticks.

The concept has to be ONE personality trait of mine that not every person might have. I decided to focus on my personal trait of being a dreamer. But I'm abit more practical than a dreamer. Maybe an escapist/idealist.. I don't know. I just know I can be quite the imaginative lil bunny. Anyway, I started playing with wiremesh. I did origami with wiremesh successfully. But it's a painful process. So I decided to use the most basic material of the lot and try to be a genius :P

This is my progress so far :

From basic white sheets of paper

I messed around with the Japanese art of origami

And got this.

Trust me, there's logic to it!! My siblings think I'm crazeh.
I question if I'm sitting on a rocky chair dangerously between the lines of sanity and insanity too.
I won't explain my creation til I'm done... Back to work!
